4.5 STARS - SAM KIM
This awesome Heathcote Valley, Australian Shiraz normally sells for up to $22 per bottle.
Sourced from established, 30 year old vines, this hand-picked Shiraz spent 2 years in old French oak barrels to build complexity, structure and weight. The resulting wine shows lifted aromas of plum, mulberry and blueberry with cedar, clove and black pepper spices. The flavour is rich and layered with succulent dark fruits, brown spices, violet and plums. A wine of wonderful intensity yet medium to full bodied in weight. This is a fantastic match with barbequed steak, pork or lamb dishes.
