CULT IRISH WHISKEY. SINCE 1779
Patrick O’Flaherty, better known as Paddy, sold what became his namesake whiskey in pubs across Ireland for an incredible four decades, spanning the turn of the 20th century.
Magnetic, outgoing and generous, Paddy bought rounds and made friends everywhere he went, always making sure everyone had a great time. Kind and wise, with a good natured, sharp wit, Paddy was always welcomed and was universally beloved.
After 40 years of service, the whiskey he sold took on his name. A triple distilled blended Irish Whiskey produced in Cork and made, unusually, with all three styles of Irish whiskey: single pot still, single malt and grain. First produced in 1779, it wasn't until 1913 that it changed it's name to Paddy after legendary salesman Paddy O'Flaherty. Before that it had the rather un-catchy name of "Cork Distilling Company Map of Ireland Old Irish Whiskey". Rolls right off the tongue that one :)
A great gift for that special someone this Xmas, or treat yourself to Ireland's finest whiskey. Great buying under $60, and 40% abv.
