BIG BROODING OLD VINE SHIRAZ!
Take it to the Grave was created by Nicholas Crampton and winemaker Corey Ryan as a range of approachable, contemporary wines that explore the greatest challenges and rewards in winemaking.
The old vine shiraz grapes are sourced from a selection of mature, dry-grown vineyards in Langhorne Creek (delivering intensity, length and structure), and blended with a parcel of Barossa Valley fruit that provide opulent fruit depth.
Matured in seasoned french oak for 6 months, the wine is brightly deep purple coloured with dense and dark centre. This is full-bodied and very aromatic showing purple berry fruits, dark chocolate and cooling spices. The fruit has weight and evenness whilst the fine tannins and integrated acidity drive persistence to the length.
At 14.5% abv, this is a big chewy red that overdelivers on flavour & value!
