Black Barrel Barossa Valley Shiraz 2022

Sourced from a selection of mature, dry-grown vineyards in the Barossa Valley region of South Australia, the fruit is hand-harvested and vinified in small open fermenters with regular hand plunging to add weight, richness & complexity. But here's the kicker! The wine is then matured & aged in three hundred litre, high double toast American oak “black barrels” for six months. This just adds an even more intense flavour & richness to the wine.

This 2022 shiraz is gorgeously ripe and sweetly expressed on the nose showing Black Doris plum, raspberry, vanilla and cedar characters with a touch of spicy nuance. The palate delivers excellent weight and fruit intensity, together with plump mouthfeel and a velvety silky texture.
