1919 Classic Gin 700ml

New Zealand had always been partial to a tipple or two, and in December 1919 the prohibition vote reached a tantalising 49.7%. No one knew it at the time, but this would be the closest New Zealand would ever get to introducing prohibition. Eureka! “1919 Distilling” was born in honour of the 50.3% of kiwis that stood up for their right to enjoy a tipple.

1919 Classic Gin (41% ABV) is locally produced in our custom made still. Created using Otago cherries, Manuka honey, organic lemons and oranges, plus botanicals including juniper, ANGELICA root and cinnamon, this is a classic gin that celebrates old world charm, passion and charisma. 41% abv.

Enjoy with a premium tonic, ice and a wedge of lime, and also perfect in a classic martini or negroni with campari and sweet vermouth! Delish!
