Taylor's Fine Tawny Port

Taylor's is one of the oldest of the founding Port houses in Oporto, located in the Douro Valley of Portugal.

The history of Taylor's is in many ways the history of the Port trade itself. Since its foundation in 1692, the company has remained independent. Now well into its fourth century, it has thrived and prospered, establishing itself as one of the world's most respected historic port houses. This has been achieved through the perseverance, pioneering spirit and continuity of purpose of successive generations of family involvement.

Their flagship house port is their Fine Ruby & Tawny. This Tawny Port is a pale brick colour with broad amber rim. It has a mellow nose of succulent ripe berry fruit with aromas of butterscotch, figs and prunes interwoven with attractive nutty and spicy aromas. Smooth and round on the palate, it is full of rich strawberry jam, raisons & hazelnut flavours. 20% abv.

Perfect after dinner to sip & enjoy with both soft & hard cheeses, roast nuts and dried fruits. Sublime!
